SFC Christopher Trimmer
Sergeant First Class Christopher Trimmer became Senior Military Science Instructor at the University of Arizona Wildcat Battalion on August 10, 2022. He is a native of northern California, and graduated from UCLA with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science in 2008. In May of 2011 he enlisted in the Army as an 11B Infantryman.
Sergeant First Class Trimmer’s first assignment was A Co. 2/508th BCT, Fort Bragg NC. There he served as an M203 grenadier, RTO, and weapons team leader. While serving with this unit he deployed to Afghanistan in 2012. In 2014, he attended the Special Forces Assessment and Selection course, the Special Forces Qualification course, and Special Operations Combat Medic course. SFC Trimmer also completed the Special Operations Language Training (SOLT) course and currently maintains a 1+/1+ proficiency in Russian.
In 2017, SFC Trimmer graduated from the SFQC and was named to the Commandant’s List. He earned his Special Forces Tab, was awarded the MOS of 18D, or Special Forces Medical Sergeant, and was assigned to 10th Special Forces Group, Fort Carson, CO. From 2017 to 2021, he repeatedly deployed to Europe in support of various operations, primarily working with NATO Special Operations Forces. From January 2021 to July 2021, SFC Trimmer deployed to Afghanistan. SFC Trimmer additionally served as the Primary Jumpmaster in over 50 Military Freefall Operations during his tenure. In total, SFC Trimmer served for over 5 years as a Senior Medical Sergeant on an Operational Detachment Delta.
SFC Trimmer’s military schools include Special Forces Qualification Course, Airborne School, Jumpmaster School, Military Freefall School, Military Free Fall Jumpmaster, Advanced Tactical Infiltration Course, Special Forces Advanced Urban Combat, Russian SOLT, Special Operations Combat Medic, Sere Level-C, Special Operations Combatives Level 1.
SFC Trimmer’s awards include the Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Special Forces Tab, Combat Infantryman’s Badge, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, NATO Medal, Parachutist Badge and Military Freefall Parachutist Badge.
