CPT Roberto Jaramillo

Assistant Professor of Military Science
National Guard Recruiting Officer

CPT Roberto Jaramillo became an Assistant Professor of Military Science on 16 March 2022. He holds his Bachelor of Arts in Education and Master’s in Education Leadership from the University of Arizona. He commissioned as an Adjutant General (AG) Officer in 2015 from the Wildcat Battalion at the U of A.  

2LT Jaramillo’s first assignment was with the 850th Military Police Battalion as the S1 OIC.  

1LT Jaramillo deployed to Guantanamo Bay Cuba in 2017. He served as The Joint Detention Group BDE S1 until fall of 2018.  

After completing his deployment, he worked with the Counter Drug Task Force as the Civil Operations OIC for Team South. After a year in this position CPT Jaramillo went to firefighter academy.  

CPT Jaramillo became a firefighter with Tucson Fire Department and was in class 20-1. After successful completion of fire academy CPT Jaramillo served his community until he was called to a state activation in 2021. He served as the S1 OIC for the Task Force Logistics and the Deputy J1 for Joint Task Force Arizona. 

CPT Jaramillo’s awards include Army Commendation Medals and the Army Achievement Medal.  

CPT Jaramillo hails from Tucson, Arizona where he met his beautiful wife, the former Ms. Bernadette Gradillas. They have two crazy awesome children Mahealani and Robert Alika.
