CPT Michael Sikorski

Captain Michael Sikorski immigrated from Poland and is a native of Temecula, CA. He attended the United States Military Academy at West Point where he lettered in Football and the Strength Team. In December 2014, he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Systems Management and was subsequently commissioned as a Field Artillery Officer (13A).

CPT Sikorski spent two stints at Fort Sill Oklahoma, the first in 2015 when he attended the Field Artillery Basic Officer Leaders Course (FABOLC) and the second in 2019 when he attended the Field Artillery Captains Career Course (FACCC).

As a lieutenant, he was assigned to the 101st Airborne Division (Fort Campbell) where he served as a Company Fire Support Officer for Alpha Company 1st Battalion, 327th Infantry, Platoon Leader for “Automatic” Battery 2-32 Field Artillery Regiment, Executive Officer for “Carnage” Battery 2-32 Field Artillery Regiment, and Assistant Operations Officer for 2-32 Field Artillery Regiment.

He spent his Captain time with the 1st Infantry Division (Fort Riley) where he served as the Assistant Brigade Fire Support Officer for the 1st Combat Aviation Brigade (1CAB), Assistant Operations Officer for the 1-5 Field Artillery Regiment, and the Commander of the “Archangel” Battery 1-5 FA.

In 2021 CPT Sikorski deployed to Poland in support of (ISO) Operation European Assure, Deter, and Reinforce where he served as 1-5 FA’s Assistant Operations Officer and subsequently Battery Commander of Archangel Battery, 1-5 FA. During this time, CPT Sikorski’s Battery assisted strategic-level efforts through their support of The Joint Multinational Training Group-Ukraine where they were the first Artillerymen and Women to train hundreds of Ukrainian Soldiers on M109A3 Self-Propelled Howitzer.

CPT Sikorski’s military awards and decorations include the Army Commendation Medal (two oak leaf cluster), the Army Achievement Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, the Army Service Ribbon, the Air Assault Badge, and the Pathfinder Badge.

CPT Sikorski arrived at the University of Arizona Army ROTC with his wife Samantha in the Summer of 2023 where they welcomed their first children, twins Eddy and Maddie. Proud to be a Wildcat!
