Shannon Addington is a native of Sierra Vista, Arizona. She is an alum of the University of Arizona where she completed a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences. She then completed a Master's degree in Athletic Training from Northern Arizona University while gaining experience with high school and D1 collegiate athletics. One of her clinical rotations was completed at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO working with the Football and Men's Gymnastics teams.  
 
Following graduation, Shannon completed a Fellowship with the University of Michigan working with Water Polo and Aquatics where she gained experience and education with manual therapy techniques including Graston and Muscle Energy Technique (MET). She was with women's soccer and cheer teams at the University of Wyoming prior to returning to her alma mater. 
 
She currently serves as the athletic trainer for ROTC, club sports, and campus health physical therapy. She holds treatment hours in South Hall Monday-Thursday mornings and attends PT sessions of each branch.
