MAJ Jackeline Aguirre

Senior Assistant Professor of Military Science

Major Jackeline Aguirre is a native of Southern California, and earned her commission as a Second Lieutenant in the Army Reserves from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Army ROTC program in 2009. She received a bachelor’s in Business Management from California State University, Northridge (CSUN).

Upon graduation from the Quartermaster Officer Basic Course, she was assigned to the 693rd Quarter Master Company (Modular), where she served as a Platoon Leader and later as the Executive Officer. In 2011 she deployed to Afghanistan with the 926th Transportation Company serving as the Transportation Officer.

Following her deployment, she served as the Company Commander for the 304th Sustainment Brigade Headquarters Company from 2012 to 2015. After her command time, she continued to serve in various staff positions spanning multiple echelons, to include the 79th Theater Sustainment Command, 311th Theater Signal Command, and the 75th Training Division (Mission Command), before arriving to the University of Arizona to serve as an Assistant Professor of Military Science.

In 2017, MAJ Aguirre earned her Master’s degree in Leadership and Organizational Management from the University of LaVerne in California and was inducted in to the Alpha Chi National College Honor Society for academic excellence.

MAJ Aguirre’s military school’s include the Combined Logistics Captain’s Career Course, Theater Sustainment Planner’s Course and is currently enrolled in the Command and General Staff College for Intermediate Level Education.

MAJ Aguirre’s military awards include the Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal (with three oak leaf clusters), Army Achievement Medal (with two oak leaf clusters), Afghanistan Campaign Medal (with one service star), NATO Service Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon, Global War on Terrorism Medal, and Armed Forces Reserve Medal.

MAJ Aguirre is married to CW3 Julio Aguirre, who is currently serving in the US Army Reserve. They have one daughter, Viviana.
